See the link list below for comprehensive body painting links. Since there's no way I can improve on what's been done by others, I'll focus on DC area painters, models, suppliers and events. E-mail me if you want to be included.  Links will open in a new window.

Products, Services and DC Area Suppliers
Trendy Tribals  Airbrush Face & Body Painting, Tattoo and Tanning  This is a great place for custom stencils!!!  They know what you need even if you're not sure of what you need.
Palmer's Face Paint  - Inexpensive paints that can be used with regular brush or airbrush.  They don't separate and clog the airbrush like some of the very expensive professional products I've tried.
Airbrush City  W-I-D-E Selection of airbrushes, compressors and other such stuff.  Great customer service.  If you're new to airbrush, go ahead and get the more expensive equipment.  The cheaper stuff is hard to learn on.  Go to their e-bay store for the best deals.
Silly Farm  Supplies  Large selection of paints and everything else you'll ever need.
Backstage Inc.-Great selection of Ben Nye products.  Lots of testers available.Very nice people. There's another theatrical supply store in Arlington,VA that has a nice selection but really snotty people work there and the prices are higher.
Createx air brush paints
Dancer Dance supply store with theatrical makeup and excellent application help.
Pearl - Discount art supplier that carries Createx paints and nice brushes.
Deviant Liquid Latex

Joann's-In addition to trim, decorative objects, netting, and other fun fabrics to play with, Joann's has inexpensive paints, sponge rollers and brushes.
Kinetic Artistry, Inc. Lots of great stuff in stock and excellent application help. They carry the hard to find Snazaroo and Mehron paints.
Mehron
great metallics. Waaaay better than Ben Nye's but fewer colors and harder to find.  Dancer carries the metallics.
Michaels -great selection of stamps, feathers and decorative objects. They also have brushes and craft paints but their prices are a bit higher than Pearl and Joann's.
Night Dreams - carries a decent selection of Liquid Latex colors and other fun stuff.
Wal-Mart - The sewing/craft department has inexpensive trim, nylon netting, interesting doodads and what nots.
